I am going to vent here some. My distaste for our government is pretty strong.
Here is a good plan to fix our country:
We need to throw out everyone in Congress, independents, Republicans, and Democrats alike. We then need to institute a national lottery. Everyone with a social security number gets to be entered into this lottery. People in a certain districts will be placed in the pool for their district for representatives, and every citizen in each state will be included for the Senatorial lottery.
After this, we need to outlaw ALL lobbying. No one should be allowed to buy a republic... not corporations, not unions, no one!
Once every two years, we get new Senators and Representatives from this lottery, and every four years we get a new president.
I can't imagine us doing much worse with this system than we are doing now...
Maybe in the next gaming guild that I end up leading, I will try this system out.
